Mommy and Me Valentine’s Day Craft For the Birds

Looking for a fun activity for kids and adults of all ages? Even a 4 month old can participate!

Cute heart shaped treats for the birds!

Things you will need!

  • Cardboard piece
  • Cookie cutter shapes
  • Scissors (and adult to run them)
  • Butter knife
  • Marker
  • Cookie sheet or baking tray
  • All natural Peanut butter
  • Bird seed
  • Clothes pins
  • Freezer space

To begin, use a marker and cookie cutter to outline the desired shape. Allow an adult to cut out the cardboard shapes. Continue by spreading peanut butter on the shape, cover completely to make sure the bird seed sticks. Next, get creative! Sprinkle, design, press on the bird seed. It will stick to the peanut butter and likely make a little mess!

Lastly, I put mine in baking tray but a baking sheet works too. Pop them in the freezer for 1/2 hour to keep the seeds on. Then add a clothes pin and will attach to desired trees! Try putting them somewhere close to a window so you can watch!

Enjoy watching the birds come in!
